GlobeKonect Petrochemical & Energy is a prominent and diversified energy company that deals in oil, gas, chemical and renewable energy. We are in search of a technically skilled, experienced and professional Solar Panel Installer to join our dynamic and dedicated team in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

    Job Description  

As a Solar Panel Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar panel systems. You will also apply your skills to mount other related equipments that will enable the conversion of solar energy into electricity.

 

   Duties and Responsibilities

* Carry out repairs on existing solar photovoltaic systems.

* Assess and analyse installation sites and engineering to determine the best structure.

* Investigate and resolve any issues related to solar system operation and performance.

* Update records of  installation, maintenance, and operation procedures for each and every site.

* Be readily informed with new technologies and techniques in solar installation and maintenance.

* Install solar panels, inverters, and other necessary equipment at various locations and environments.

* Provide clients with comprehensive technical explanations on how to effectively use the solar systems.

* Work closely with engineers, clients and other technicians to ensure a successful and timely installation.

* Ensure electrical wiring are properly planed and well done in-line with all safety and technical measures.

 

   Minimum Job Requirements

* High School Diploma.

* Driver’s license, Category B.

* At least 3 years of work experience as a Solar Panel Installer; or experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for work experience on a year for year basis.

 

   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

* Analytical abilities.

* Knowledge of electrical systems.

* Organisational and problem solving skills.

* Great technical skills and physical stamina.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft office

* Proven experience as Solar Panel Installer or similar role.

* Skill in organising resources, establishing priorities, and working efficiently.

* Ability to work effectively in an ethnically diverse and international environment.

* Ability to communicate fluently in English language and read technical drawings.
